National Sexual Assault HOTLINE: 800.656.HOPE (4673)
HOW CAN A HOTLINE HELP ME?
Calling sexual assault hotlines can give you access to resources including confidential support from a trained staff member, referrals for long term support, someone to help you talk through what happened, and information about basic laws in your community.
guidelines
Within 72 hours of rape: Go to the hospital immediately, call the police, and call a rape hotline. If possible, go to the hospital before changing clothes, showering, or using the bathroom as it will preserve physical evidence.
More than 72 hours of rape: Call the police and the rape hotline. Then seek medical care.
